Design & Build Quality
Now, for the design, Misty Green. I like this shade of green because it isn’t bright or too saturated-just a sort of faded kind of green. On the back, there are cutouts for cameras that are not raised too high. The frame is metallic and hard.
You have a volume rocker on the left and a power button on the right side. This would include the highly appreciated alert slider at the top right, of which so many users were fond.
on the top frame is an IR blaster-which means one can control TV and air conditioner with it; Type-C, a double speaker unit bottom together with the sim card tray are. And lastly, on the bottom features a Gorilla Glass 5 back for protection against scratches. The device has an IP54 rating for splash and dust protection but is not waterproof.
Display
Smoother than ever, OnePlus has upgraded to a 120Hz AMOLED panel. The colors are well saturated, the contrast is very good, and the viewing angles are great, while the peak brightness is high enough to use outdoors without a hitch. It also supports HDR, which will be great to stream on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
Moving to the cameras, the Nord 3 has a 50MP Sony IMX 890 main camera with OIS. It is one of the best cameras that pull out shots from a OnePlus phone. The OIS technology brings in very stable shots with no motion blur. The main sensor supports 4K video recording at 60fps. There is an 8MP ultra-wide shooter along with a 2MP macro lens.
Refresh Rate and Brightness
The screen is highly responsive with excellent vibration feedback and smooth UI performance. I recommend using the “High refresh rate” mode for optimal performance, where the UI and most apps run at 120Hz, Chrome at 90Hz, and videos at 60Hz. However, the advertised 40Hz refresh rate was never reached in my tests.
Performance & User Experience
Another significant improvement is in the processor. The Nord 3 is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, much better compared to the Nord 2T’s Dimensity 1300. It features 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM for the multitasking and about 40 apps running on top of each other, and there it offers 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage for the fastest data transfer speeds.

It runs on OxygenOS 13, which is based on Android 13, with three years of major Android updates and four years of security updates to keep it functional for a long time. The phone comes fitted with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC for quick charging; it can power the phone from 1% to 100% in just 31 minutes. The Nord 3 also includes x-axis haptics for an improved typing and gaming experience.
The OnePlus Nord 3 comes as a serious notch upwards from the Nord 2T in respect of design, display, performance, cameras, and charging speed. It’s a solid mid-ranger in a market worth considering today.
Connectivity Options
Moving on, OnePlus also launched the Nord Buds 2R, budget-friendly earbuds with dual mics for clear calls, even while driving. They feature wind cancellation for better call quality and enhanced bass compared to the previous model. The earbuds offer up to 8 hours of use on a single charge, with the case extending the battery life to over 30 hours.
The connectivity options of the OnePlus Nord 3 5G run on various options such as 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB Type-C for fast charging and data transfer. The phone includes a non-removable 5000mAh battery and Warp Charge 80W support, which can charge the device from 0 to 100% in less than 30 minutes.
