Redmi Note 14 5G Price in Nepal and Availability

Redmi Note 14 5G Price in Nepal and Availability: The Redmi Note 14 Pro is a major step up from the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G. It’s faster, with a better and stronger display this time around. It’s also IP68 rated, has better cameras, a bigger battery, and doesn’t wobble when used on a table. Having said that, is this smartphone worth buying? Keep watching to find out.

Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G Overview

The Redmi Note 14 Pro comes with a TPU case, a USB Type-C cable, and a 45W charger. I did my usual battery charging test, and it took 1 hour and 18 minutes to charge the smartphone from 0 to 100%. Not bad, considering it has a 5,500mAh battery.

This is the Ceramic White Redmi Note 14 Pro; there’s also a Midnight Black, Phantom Green, and Twilight Purple. Build quality is top-notch—there’s a steel frame inside, so have fun trying to bend it. The front glass is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is flagship-grade protection.

It’s resistant against scratches and drops to some extent. Another great feature is that it’s dust and water-resistant with an IP68 rating, hence surviving 2-meter water submersion for 24 hours.

Given that it has a steel frame, a drop- and scratch-resistant display, and houses a 5,500mAh battery, it doesn’t weigh as much as one would expect: 190 grams.

This means that using it for hours won’t hurt your hands-it feels good to hold. Additionally, the red color doesn’t attract much fingerprint and smudge marks, which is great. The build quality of the Redmi Note 14 Pro is just absolutely tremendous, courtesy of Xiaomi.

The dual SIM card slot in the Redmi Note 14 Pro can take two 5G SIMs-no eSIM support-and does not have a slot for memory card expansion.

There’s an IR blaster at the top to control infrared-enabled appliances. Two microphones-one at the top and one at the bottom-are also present, while it also boasts dual stereo speakers that sound good-launch attack! The haptics are impressive, one of the best I’ve felt on a midrange device. The fingerprint scanner is optical and is fast and accurate.

Display

The screen is a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel; the refresh rate on the Redmi Note 14 Pro is 120Hz. It gets sharp, vibrant, and very smooth-color accurate with HDR content supported on Netflix. It can get as bright as 800 nits, so outdoor use isn’t an issue.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset, a 4nm processor. Compared to the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, the 14 Pro is way faster in all benchmark tests. I rendered the same video on CapCut, and the Redmi Note 14 Pro was noticeably faster.

Memory Capacity

The Redmi Note 14 Pro comes with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM (this one has 8GB). Multitasking is smooth, and app switching is fast. It has 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of UFS 2.2 flash storage, which is fast. It comes with Android 14 and should see at least 3 years of major updates.

The AI on this phone is good enough. On the Chinese ROM, the voice assistant isn’t that useful, but there’s also an AI scanner that works a lot like Google Lens and helps you scan objects, text, and even convert images to PDF or Excel.

Gaming Capacity

For gaming, though, the display is very responsive thanks to a 480Hz touch sampling rate. Call of Duty Mobile runs high graphics and frame rates up to 40 FPS but you can dial this up to max frame rate and high graphics to hit 60.

PUBG meanwhile runs at HDR graphics and Ultra frame rate, hitting 40 FPS – or 60 FPS with the smoother graphics settings. Call of Duty Warzone ran smoothly at 30-50 FPS on Low graphics, and Mobile Legends ran smoothly at Ultra graphics and an Ultra frame rate, hitting 60 FPS.

The gaming performance is excellent on this device, with very loud and clear dual stereo speakers, and the screen responds well, too.

The photo gallery has tools like the eraser feature to remove objects or people, sky changing to enhance photos, and skin tone adjustments. For the front camera, it’s a 20MP sensor. When I stood in front of a window, the photo was okay, but zooming in showed a lack of detail. In low light, the screen works as a flashlight, making a big difference. Outdoor shots told a different story: plenty of detail, but it really over-smoothes my face.

Camera

The front camera shoots in 1080p at 30 FPS. It does not shoot in 4K, which is a bummer. The rear camera features a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. The 50MP main camera takes great photos, showing true-to-life details. Portraits look good too, as long as you turn off beauty mode, which makes the photos look unnatural. The ultrawide camera is decent, and the macro camera is just there. For video, the rear camera can shoot in 4K at 30 FPS, and the video quality is solid.

Battery

Impressive battery; the 5,500mAh is itself a highlight of the phone. Normally, I charge it once per day, and it lasts for a whole day for moderate use. Battery charging from 0 to 100% takes just 1 hour and 18 minutes.

My Thoughts

I used the Redmi Note 14 Pro, and for sure, this device has some impressive things to impress me: the build quality, excellent display, strong performance, and an excellent battery. However, the front needs an upgrade; it can’t shoot in 4K. That said, the rear camera does a great job. A moderate user like me would last a whole day from morning to bedtime. This is an excellent smartphone, save for the front camera.
