Redmi Note 14 Pro+ Review
Dialing its back notch For the first time since the Note 10 Pro, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus is actually a solid mid-ranger. It’s just right-except for that 4K recording on its selfie camera. That should be criminal by now, but we will get into that later.
This is the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, and with all of the features that Xiaomi has crammed in here, it looks like a truly solid upgrade, mostly. Only launched in China thus far-a global launch would likely take place early next year, but if you are impatient as I am, well, you could pick one off AliExpress for now.
You just have to keep in mind the obvious: it’s the Chinese version, so China ROM. You can easily install the Play Store and remove the tons of Chinese applications—although not completely. But that’s not a problem. I know a lot of users who prefer the Chinese ROM because it’s more stable and gets better support.

That said, this one is thick and has a sizable camera bump. It’s a tough one too, solidly built. Right now, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus sells on hukut store for just NPR 49,999 in Nepal. This gets you the base model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage; this isn’t expandable.
A pretty questionable call from Xiaomi there. So, basically, the base variant of the 14 Pro Plus uses slower UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM, while the 16-gig model is using UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5. That was not the case with its predecessor, and I have no idea why they chose to make it so this time around.
What does that mean, for better context?
That means the 16 GB version will be faster when it comes to tasks that require a lot of data or high-performance scenarios. It’s also going to feel more responsive: better load times, faster file transfers-you get the idea. Now, if your use case is standard, it probably won’t mean much. But if you want the best of the Note 14 series, just skip the base version.

Design and Build Quality
The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus has a glossy back with a cloud pattern design and solid build quality, much like flagship phones. The metal frame is glossy, while the top and bottom parts are matte textured. It uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the display and possibly Gorilla Glass 7i for the rear.
Display

The phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, with TÜV SÜD certification for submersion up to 2 meters for 24 hours. The 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display offers a 2.7K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Media consumption is great, and the UI feels smooth despite minor animation delays on the base model.
Performance

Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, the phone does a pretty good job in terms of performance for multitasking and gaming, though flawless gaming performance is not expected, and minor lags or heating may occur.
Gaming Capacity
In game tests, high graphics performance was achieved in Call of Duty Warzone Mobile, though frame rates may drop with higher graphics settings. The 16GB version with faster storage may offer smoother gaming. That provides good battery life thanks to its massive 6,200mAh battery and is backed up with support for 90W fast charging in-box.
Camera
Cameras come in configurations such as 50MP telephoto with 2.5x optical zoom, a cut down to 150MP primary sensor from its predecessor, 8MP ultra-wide, and a better, upgraded 20MP selfie shooter. Its build makes the device as reliable as many flagships of old times while pushing forward mid-segment products well for balance on performance, longevity, and reliability.
