Here is the Review
Unboxing
The HONOR X6b’s packaging design is straightforward, using thick cardboard for the box’s construction. It comes in a white box with a sample image of the Honor X6b printed on the top cover.
On one side of the box, you can also see a sticker with the model name, IMEI number, and company information, as well as the HONOR logo.
Appearance and Durability
With our review unit, the HONOR X6b comes in three different colorways: Midnight Black, Forest Green, and Starry Purple. During the phone’s launch, we were able to view every color, and the Starry Purple is particularly appealing.
The phone’s overall measurements are 163.59 mm by 75.33 mm and 8.39 mm thick. Together with the battery, which weighs about 192 grams, it becomes somewhat heavy.
The HONOR X6b’s aluminum frame has a matte black finish, and the rear panel is composed of sturdy polycarbonate plastic.
The entire rear panel has a shimmering frosted effect that makes the HONOR X6b look good.
The four circular camera cutouts inside the camera module may confuse you at first, but there are only two camera sensors inside. The remaining one is purely decorative, while the other two are LED flashes.
Similar to its previous model, Honor chose a square-shaped camera module for the camera housing. The X6b’s slightly protruding camera housing is the only difference.
THE PORTS CONSIST OF
The SIM card tray is placed on the left side edge.
The bottom edge holds a 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille.
Then there’s a secondary microphone on the top edge.
Display
The HONOR X6b has a 6.56-inch TFT LCD screen with a maximum refresh rate of 90 Hz, a maximum brightness of 780 nits, and a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels.
With respectable viewing angles, the screen is bright and the text is clear. As for the color, if all looks natural not too over saturated. I chose the color mode in vivid while the normal settings will turn the display in a more warm.
Additionally, the HONOR X6b has a DC dimming feature that helps reduce eye strain when using the phone in low light. There’s also an eye comfort and eBook mode for more visual health.
Performance
A MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz powers the phone’s internal core. For its GPU, it is paired with an ARM Mail G52 MC2.
It has 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded to 1TB using a microSD card, and it has 6GB of RAM. You can increase the memory by up to 6GB with the Honor RAM Turbo, making it a total of 12GB.
The processor, RAM, and GPU on the HONOR X6b have been slightly upgraded.
The HONOR X6b performed well and offered a seamless experience for basic daily tasks. There is a slight lag when downloading and installing large files or when running multiple apps in the background.
Benchmarks
Battery
The HONOR X6b’s 5200mAh battery is marginally larger than other phones’ conventional 5000mAh batteries. Additionally, the large battery can be swiftly charged using the 35W HONOR SuperCharge power adapter that is included.
The battery was at 15% after 15 minutes of our charging test, and it reached 49% after 30 minutes. To fully charge the phone from 0% to 100%, it took us 1 hour and forty-three minutes.
The phone’s 5,200 mAh battery allowed me to use it normally for an entire day. The device was still functioning properly while I played games, checked my social media apps, watched YouTube videos, browsed the web, and took pictures.
